Product Summary
The ADMC300BST has two distinct memory types, program memory and data memory. In general, program memory contains user code and coefficients, while the data memory is used to store variables and data during program execution. Both program memory RAM and ROM is provided on the ADMC300BST. The processor contains three independent computational units: the arithmetic and logic unit (ALU), the multiplier/accumulator (MAC) and the shifter. The computational units process 16-bit data directly and have provisions to support multiprocessing computations. The ALU performs a standard set of arithmetic and logic operations; division primitives are also supported. The MAC performs single-cycle multiply, multiply/add, and multiply/subtract operations with 40 bits of accumulation.
